Let the Sun Shine In

It’s so lovely here in the country when we have a clear morning.  Being early risers, we spend about 9 months of the year getting up before sunrise.  Now that we are getting closer to the Spring Equinox, we are seeing the distant hills outlined in pink some mornings, before the sun peeks over the horizon.  Just glorious – especially when the sometimes angry grey clouds blush a gentle pink.

Driving along the lanes, we see lambs frolicking, and calves wearing their covers – all in training for pet days at the local schools.

The early flowering cherries are covered in blossom, along with the plum trees – and we’ve been blessed with a few fine mild and windless days for the bees to do their work.  The catkins on the willows and poplars are falling – a good reason to make sure that the clothes line is sited a good way from them!  The bright green tips of the oak and willows are just coming visible.  This is a fabulous time of year – the promise of warmth and sunshine to come!

It’s also a good time to come along and see what homes are on offer in the country – check out my listings from the link to the left, or give me a call.

Now I’m off to deal to the moss that’s sprouted over our very long wet winter :)
